
Sinéad graduated with a degree in Irish Studies and Theology in 2003. She went on to complete the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Guildford and joined the Castle Partnership in July 2005.
Since then, Sinéad has completed her training contract with the firm, qualifying as a Police Station Accredited Representative in June 2006, a Solicitor in March 2008, a Duty Solicitor in November 2008 and more recently as a Higher Rights Advocate (all proceedings) in May 2009. In July 2011 Sinéad became a Partner and is currently running the Hampshire office, based in Basingstoke.
Sinéad’s role involves daily advocacy at the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts and more recently, she has enjoyed success at the Court of Appeal. She regularly advises clients from the Police Station through to the Crown Court on a variety of complex cases such as Rape, Sexual Assaults, Arson, Fraud, Blackmail, Drug Offences, Robbery, Violent Disorder, Burglary, Assaults and Road Traffic Offences.
Sinéad has a particular interest in Legal Arguments such as Abuse of Process and Exclusion of Evidence.
Sinéad is currently undertaking an LLM (Masters in Law) in Employment Law with the College of Law in Guildford and aims to complete this in 2012. She still has extensive links with the college and is heavily involved in their mentoring scheme, assisting students with their chosen career path.
